Week #9 ~ Recap

1106 miles, 2 countries, 2 provinces, 1 state, 1 national park, 12.3 miles on the bike, and 3 lobsters consumed. OVER $599.72.

Week 9 was the week we blew up our budget.  Oops!  It wasn’t total irresponsibility—although I would be lying if I didn’t admit some of it was.

It was also the time in the trip where we had to start ordering stuff so that it would be at my mom and dad’s before we go to Europe.  We got more contacts and made a couple of reservations that cost about two days worth of our daily trip budget.

The day in Niagara Falls was surprisingly expensive and the hotel in Montreal after adding an extra $30/day for parking surprised us as well.

However, when you go to the coast of Maine, you must eat Maine “lobstah”—there’s no getting around that—and who would want to??  In the 3 days we spent in Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor we had lobster 3 times and it was fucking delicious.

So glad you got to my neck of the woods with a trip to Niagara Falls, ladies! Those hotels do tend to run expensive. That lobster looks fantastic. And, yes, repeats of eating that are in our plans as well when we are in that neck of the woods!
