Week 2 was full of….California.

796 Total miles, 1 National Park, 1 National Forest, 1 HipCamp campsite one massive state. We are approximately $650 under budget this week.
California…..we drove for what seemed a very long time and still only drove through about ½ of the state. We spent three nights in Yosemite, which is it’s own thing…..1 night at a HipCamp spot in Grass Valley that had an outdoor shower (LOVE!), and 1 night out back of the beyond in Six Rivers National Forest of Big Foot fame. If you’re interested, look at the location of the Six River’s National Forest campground (Fish Lake Campground if you’re googling), and you’ll see that it was waaaaaaaaay out there. (41.2643601, -123.6843663) ~ nine miles up a long windy road off AFTER you leave California 96.
Six Rivers National Forest is where the infamous Big Foot video was shot, so there is lots of big foot “stuff” around. Every time we would hear a rustling in the trees we would giggle about whether that was big foot coming to share our supper….spooky…..

Next week we are out of the State of CA and going up the coast toward Olympic National Park.
